| History and Philosophy History and Philosophy | Executive Leadership Kroff Chemical Company, Inc. got its start on April 22, 1988 when Keith D. Kronk and Frederick D. Potthoff decided to form a new water treatment company. The partners had seen deterioration in the quality of service and level of experience in their industry. Several of the nationally known companies were hiring people directly out of college with no experience and providing "on the job training" at the risk of critical customer systems. No substitute for experience Kronk and Potthoff felt there was a great opportunity for a water treatment chemical company that hired only experienced consultants, allowed them to live where they had roots, and provided them with the independence and state-of-the-art analytical equipment to do a professional job. The formula was an instant success and Kroff has grown substantially each year it has been in business. The evolution of Kroff Chemical to Kroff, Inc. The first few years of Kroff's business focused on the steel industry with accounts also in the light industrial, commercial, and institutional markets. As the company grew, the business diversified to include all industrial sectors. From the beginning, Kroff has hired only experienced professionals. As the company has grown, so has the influx of new talent with fresh ideas and better ways to serve the customer. In fact, the company's evolution has resulted in a structure that has seen Kroff Chemical Company become one of three subsidiaries under the Kroff, Inc. umbrella.
