Jeffrey Gross
General Manager

Jeff Gross can talk the talk, because he's walked the walk. And for customers, from CEOs, to CFOs, to plant managers, that industry-speak translates into credibility and value.

During a career that has spanned more than 30 years, the general manager of Kroff Facilities Services has served as a technical liaison between engineers and customers, calling on his biology, chemistry and environmental sciences background. He is able to speak knowledgeably and confidently with operations and plant managers about operations and equipment function, because he has managed key account relationships and understands the financial implications of the decisions plant general managers must make.

Gross' experience - from his start in the water and wastewater business in 1975 managing a start-up environmental consulting group and analytical lab, to positions at Alcoa, USFilter and, most recently, Veolia Water of North America - has given him a deep understanding of the issues encountered in successfully operating industrial facilities. That understanding is reflected in his unique ability to develop creative technical, financial or commercial solutions.

As an industry thought leader, Gross has made technical presentations to several high-profile organizations, including:
  • "Ion Exchange Technology for Waste Minimization and Resource Recovery" to the California Society of Plant Engineers;
  • "The Treatment of Landfill Leachate to Meet Clean Streams Water Quality Requirements" to the Conference on the Clean Water Act Amendments, Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency;
  • "The Use of Fixed Film Biological Treatment for the Remediation of Groundwater" to the Texas Consortium of Remediation Engineers; and
  • "Waste Minimization and Recovery Technologies for the Electroplating Industry" to the American Electroplaters and Surface Finishers Society.

He is a member of the Association of Iron and Steel Engineers, Water Pollution Control Federation, American Electroplaters' Society, American Chemical Society, American Management Association and American Water Works Association.

Gross received his master's in environmental science from the University of Pittsburgh and Clarion State University and his bachelor's in biology/chemistry from Geneva College
