| News Record growth drives Kroff process lab expansion Additional analytical, product development support capabilities to be added Kroff Inc. is in the process of expanding its process lab facility at Ambridge Pennsylvania. Record company growth experienced in 2008 mandates additional analytical and product development support capabilities to meet our growing market opportunities. We have recently purchased a new Perkin Elmer Inductive Coupled Plasma (ICP) analyzer, and added a Mutek charge analyzer, several Parr pressure reactors, a UV-VIS scanning spectrophotometer, additional digital viscometers, and upgraded our scale modeling software. We have developed several unique demulsification products (patent filing in progress), developed a novel polymeric approach for iron control (patent filing in progress), introduced additional process chemicals to our product line, developed aluminum abatement chemistries for an Acid Mine Drainage marketing initiative, and formed a trace metals remediation team to provide solutions to meet increasingly more demanding outfall compliance issues. Weather protected formulations were introduced for a variety of markets as well. In 2008, staffing was added to the analytical chemistry team, and product management team. Further hiring is planned for the first quarter of 2009 to increase manpower in the trace metals remediation and product development teams. See other news stories
